Halfshell, full Halfshell Hero, also known as Sabaka, Sabaka'Zlo, Sabaka Mahusky, and Sabaka Firecaster, and as Halfshell Boa on Second Life (born September 6, 1981), is a greymuzzlefurry artist, musician, and fursuiter from Kansas City, Kansas, USA.
Halfshell works as a toxicologist and clinical lab technician[1], and worked during the peak of the COVID-19pandemic period of 2020-2022, handling COVID SARS testing through the CDC.[2] He has earned his Microsoft certificates in 2011 through the University of Phoenix, Columbus, Ohio Campus. He is also certified in desktop publishing (DPT), commercial art, drafting and technical drawing in blueprinting, and computer programming in college courses credited at Johnson County Community College (JCCC) and the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design offered through his high school programs from 1995 to 2000.
Halfshell is a 7th cousin once removed of (non-deceased) artist, Fur Affinity webmaster, and fandom influencer, Dragoneer, as per FamilySearch.org.[3]

Halfshell past spouses include Sonicblu Darkfold from 2006 to 2009[4], and GillGill from 2009 to 2013.[5]
Halfshell joined the furry fandom in late 2004 after leaving the TMNTfandom. While surfing through various websites, he found anthropomorphic art and started submitting his own art to the InflatioNation website. While online, he started chatting and getting acquainted with other furries such as Sir Kain in 2005, before attending his first furry convention, Anthrocon, that same year.
He became one of the six original Fur Affinityadministrators[6] in 2005 after it's beta launch under Alkora's ownership. Halfshell is also a WikiFur editor.
Through various furry conventions, Halfshell had many jobs and titles. He was a variety show performer, gopher, and security staff for Midwest FurFest 2007, gopher, wrangler and security for Morphicon 2009.
Halfshell often hangs around Second Life as Halfshell Boa,[7] where he has created logos for various clubs and groups including the Gay Furry Club (GFC) and Cold Flame.
Halfshell's initial fursuit was of one of Sabaka Mahusky, who retired it in 2009.

Halfshell is an artist who works in traditional mediums, mainly hand-drawn media using colored pencils on paper. His artwork can be found on various platforms like DeviantART, Fur Affinity, SheezyArt, and on InflationNation. Halfshell's art of an inflated Jake Long appears on Jeff Goode's Official website[8].
In December 2004, Halfshell and Jaimetud Otter recorded Blue’s Christmas for Blue on the InflatioNation site. In 2005, influenced by SonicBlu and Corsi Mousehold, Halfshell recorded more parodies such as Leavin' the Con and I Wont Chow Down.
On July 14, 2012, A studio version of The Hungry Furries was showcased on the Dr. Demento Show[9], hitting the Top 10 on it again (#8) the following week.[10]
Halfshell's music had airplay on furry radio stations such as Planetfurry's radio station KWKAT from 2005 to 2011, and OtterTunes's Shoutcast radio, ROVR, from 2005 to 2017. His music in current rotation on Mad Music Archive since 2014, and The FuMP (The Funny Music Project) since 2005.
