Valeria Marini - Italian Model, Actress, Dancer, and Fashion Designer

Valeria Marini is an Italian model, actress, dancer, and fashion designer. She was born in Rome and grew up in Cagliari, Sardinia, where she completed her schooling before returning to Rome. Marini began her career in the showbiz world as a model under the pseudonym 'Lolly.'

Early Career

Marini made her debut in the film industry in 1987 in the movie 'Cronaca nera.' She later ventured into theater in 1991, starring in the comedy 'I ragazzi irresistibili.' In 1992, Marini also made her mark on television in the show 'Luna di miele.' It was in this program that she caught the eye of director Pierfrancesco Pingitore, who was so impressed by her talent that he replaced Pamela Prati with Marini in his annual theatrical productions and later television programs.

Success in Film and Television

Marini went on to appear in several projects, including 'Bucce di banana,' 'Champagne,' 'Rose rosse,' 'Viva le italiane,' 'Miconsenta,' and 'Barbecue.' In 1997, she was nominated to perform at the Festival di Sanremo alongside Pippo Baudo and Piero Chiambretti. The following year, Marini landed one of the lead roles in the television series 'Rai Due Pepe Carvalho,' which aired in Italy, France, and Spain. In the same year, she also starred in the sci-fi show 'The Seventh papyrus' on Channel 5.

Shift to Fashion Design

While Marini achieved success in the acting world, she decided to explore her artistic potential as a fashion designer in the early 2000s. In 2005, she launched her own line of fashionable lingerie called 'Seduction' and a ready-to-wear collection called 'Seduction Diamonds.' Her creations were well-received and showcased at fashion events in Milan and Los Angeles.

Later Projects

In 2007, Marini collaborated on the creation of several advertising videos for 'Puntoshop,' where she transformed into the animated character Jessica Rabbit. In 2009, she played a fictionalized version of herself in the four-part documentary drama 'Being Valeria,' revealing her secrets for success. Marini was widely regarded as one of the country's greatest actresses and models at the time.

Personal Life

Little is known about Marini's personal life, except that she has never been married and does not have any children.
